*if you already know me, think of me as this is me writing my About Me Page.
Hi! I’m Heather!
Who I am: Heather, formerly of Capricious Reader, formerly of A High and Hidden Place
Where: The Southern USA
Preferences: Coffee to tea. Books to television. Wine to beer. Night to morning. Autumn. Dark blue. Butter over margarine, cinnamon over nutmeg, scones over biscuits, mountains over the beach. Sweaters are my jam. I adore collective nouns, you Parliament of Owls. Idioms give me goosebumps. Obsessed with octopuses, foxes, owls, and crows. Also pangolins. I am, without a doubt, the most suspicious person you know. *knocks on wood*
I have been blogging for a really long time. I’d be 91 if I was a dog blogger. I originally started blogging fresh out of college. As a graduate with a degree in English, I missed having that Book Discussion Outlet that college gave me, plus, no one I know is a reader like I am. Online, I found my People.
Yet, here’s the thing. I’m 39-years-old. I’m a mother. A cook. A printer and a graphic designer. I love to garden, listen to music, knit, crochet, and more. After 13 years, I find myself wanting to talk about more than books and I felt pigeonholed at my old blog. Choked. Held back. Restricted.
So, here I am. On a new journey. And I’m so happy you’re here on this journey with me.
